Let's have a big cup of positivi-tea

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a mixed media tag created using stamps and stencils from Art Inspirations and Bee Crafty.
To begin I cut about 1mm off every side of the Visible Image mixed media craft card tag. This will mean it will now form a layer on the black tag.
Before glueing it to the black one, I blended rusty hinge distress oxide through the Floral Panel stencil. I then blended gathered twigs distress oxide around the edges of the tag.
I, then, used Bee Crafty's dots dinkable, from set 2, to add festive berries distress oxide dots to the background.  I also used first, second and third generation stamping to add the How do I love tea sentiment around the tag.
On separate card, I stamped, using Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves ink, the cup and saucer twice and the cup once. I cut out the cup and saucer, the single cup and just the cup from the second cup and saucer. I also stamped the sentiment and cut it out. I edged this with gathered twigs.
Using a strong double sided tape I adhered half a crocheted doily to the bottom of the tag. I trimmed off the excess.
I used a mix of foam tape and matte medium to glue the craft tag to the black tag.
I glued the cups and sentiment to the tag and used a brown fineliner to add a faux stitch to both the tag and sentiment.
Finally I added a selection of ribbons and lace to the hole.

Decorated Canvas

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a canvas that I have decorated using goodies from my stash.

To begin, I used a palette knife to spread the three colours (lychee, orange and violet) Isink acrylic paints in different directions on the canvas.

Next I blended black soot distress oxide through the boxed in stencil from Dolly Dimples.
I then blended the same ink through the Moroccan Trellis stencil from Dolly Dimples.
I then blended black soot distress oxide around the edges of the canvas.
I covered the wooden heart with old music manuscript and edged it with the same black ink.
I wrapped the heart with some orange and gold string.
I used matte medium to adhere two pieces of cheese cloth to the canvas.
I then used a large dollop of matte medium to adhere the heart to the canvas. I left this to dry for about 1 hour before doing any more to it.
I chose two ready made flowers from my stash and edged them with carved pumpkin distress oxide.
I die cut some leaves and then added them and the flowers to the canvas using matte medium.
Finally I stamped one of the sentiments from Bee Crafty's Incredible Words. I cut it out following the contours of the words and then blended black soot distress oxide around the edges before adding it to the canvas.
Here's another look at the finished canvas.

Christmas Tags

Hi everyone, every year Bee Crafty share 24 Tags of Christmas. Today I thought I would share the 6 that I made for this year. They are all made on Ranger mixed media tags.

For my first tag, I have used the Art Stamps Robin stamp set. I created the background by blending Antique Linen distress oxide over the tag after I had added a piece of old music manuscript down the right hand side. I blended gathered twigs distress oxide through the text and distressed diamonds inkables. I added a puece of ribbon diagonally across the tag before mounting it on brown card. I coloured the Robin with watercolour pencils and cut him out before gluing him to the tag. I added more ribbon by stapling it over the hole in the tag.

For my second tag, I began by rubbing the festive berries distress oxide ink pad over the Fernando big one. I spritzed this lightly with water then pressed it ink side down on to my tag. I left this to dry, then stamped the word baubleicious multiple times using Versafine Clair nocturne ink. I stamped the bauble and coloured with festive berries and fossilised amber distress oxide. After cutting it out I used foam tape to add it to the tag. I finished by adding red sequins.

My third tag was created by blending twisted citron distress oxide over it and then spritzing with twisted citron distress spritzer. When this had dried I used Versafine Clair rainforest ink to stamp the holly branch from the XL Poinsettia stamp set. I coloured them with mowed lawn distress and added small red flat back pearls to the berries. To finish I stamped the sentiment with rainforest Versafine Clair, using the second and third generation ink on it to add the lighter versions to the tag. I added some Christmas coloured ribbon.

For my fourth tag, I blended festive berries distress oxide over the tag, making the edges darker. I then stamped the small Christmas pudding, from the Christmas Tree stamp set, several times onto the tag using Versafine Clair nocturne. On separate card I stamped the gingerbread man, from the Christmas pudding stamp set, twice, coloured him with pencil crayons and a white, red and black pen. After cutting them out I used foam tape to glue them to the tag. I added several steands of red bakers twine.

For my fifth tag, I began by using the Horizon 2 Skyline inkable with stormy sky distress oxide to create a background.  I used a quick glue pen to draw along the edges of each horizon line and added silver glitter. I added the strip of snowflakes and the large single snowflake from the Yuletide transparency print sheet. I added a sentiment from the Snowflakes XL stamp set (sadly now discontinued). Finally I added a puece of blue and silver ribbon.

For my final tag, I blended peacock feathers distress oxide over the tag. I then added the Winter words text from the Yuletide transparency Prints sheet over the bottom of the tag. I used the snowflake dinkable from set 4 with texture paste over the top half of the tag. On separate card I stamped the journaling girl Warm and coloured her with distress watercolour pencils. I cut her out and used foam tape to add her to the tag. I stamped the sentiment, cut it out and edged with peacock feathers distress oxide and stuck it to the tag. I finished with some blue fibres.

Be-leaf in your self

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing an art journal page created using two sets of stamps that I bought from Personal Impressions and mixed them with some Shady Designs stamps .

To begin I stamped the main image,  from the Postcard, Leaves, Flowers and Post Mark stamp set, directly on to a page in my 5 x 5 inch journal using Versafine Clair nocturne ink.

Next, I added three circles and three of the lines and circles from the Blooming Circle stamp set.
Then I coloured around the image using the lavender woodless watercolour pencil. I used a wet paintbrush to blend the ink out from the image.
Next, using a wet paintbrush I took colour from the tip of purple watercolour pencil and added a drop shadow to the image.
I then coloured the circles and stamp with the yellow watercolour pencil and blended it out with a damp paintbrush.
On separate card,  I stamped the same image and some of the flowers and leaves from the Blooming Circle stamp set. I coloured them with the watercolour pencils and cut them out.
I then used matte medium to adhere them to the page.
Finally I stamped and cut out the sentiment.  I edged it with pink ink and added it to the page.

Art Inspirations Samples

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing some of my samples for the new release from Art Inspirations, the fabulous Indian Dreams collection designed by Leonie Pujol.

For my first sample I used the Peace Elephant stamp which I coloured with a mix of Polychromos pencils and acrylic paint pens. For the background I used distress oxide inks in worn lipstick, fossilised amber and seedless preserve through the floral mandala stencil.

For my second sample I used weathered wood distress ink through the Indian Collage  stencil on to a background created using picked raspberry, shaded lilac and scattered straw distress ink. I stamped word peace from the Peace Elephant stamp set across the background using morning mist Versafine Clair ink.  I stamped the larger Henna Pattern stamp directly to the background with Nocturne Versafine Clair and coloured it with Zig Clean Colour pens. I then stamped the Henna Dragonfly on separate card, coloured it with the same pens and cut it out and added to the card.

For my third sample I created a background using the Lippy Lime, Poppin Pink, By Jove Blue and Yummy Yellow Vivid inks, then added fossilised amber distress oxide through the Pebbles stencil. I stamped the smaller of the Henna Pattern stamps with nocturne Versafine Clair ink and added a sentiment from the Henna Dragonfly stamp set.

For my fourth sample I used the larger of the Henna Pattern stamps to create a background. I stamped it using Warm Breeze Versafine Clair ink. I then blended peacock feathers distress oxide over the edges of the background. I stamped the Peace Elephant directly on to the background as well as on a piece of separate card. I coloured the image with glitter gel pens. I cut out just the elephants face and glued it over the stamped image on the background. I chose a sentiment from Tim Holtz's Small Talk and added it to the page.

For my final sample I created a background using yummy yellow, poppin pink and by jove blue vivid inks. I stamped the Henna Dragonfly twice, making sure the antenna touched and coloured them with glitter gel pens. I added a border and sentiment from the Peace Elephant stamp set.

Gear up for Christmas

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this art journal page using Stamperia's Gear up for Christmas Junk Journal and rub-on kit.
To begin, I cut a puece of background paper to fit my A5 journal and used matte medium to glue it down.
I then added the holly border rub-on down the left hand side of the page.
I added two presents and the car stickers to the page.
I pushed out two of the tags, two of the images, one of the snow globes and several gears. I used an emery board to remove the pips. I added twine to the tags and glued the images to them.
Next, I added these to my page.
I then added another rub-on, with words, today the top right hand corner.
Finally I added a border strip to the bottom of the page.
