Mad Hatter

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing an art journal page created using stencils from Julia Mcneil Designs, Snip Art chipboard and part of a Natalie May Scrapbooking collage paper.

To begin, I created a background using JMC Designs Spade, Diamond, Heart and Club stencils by blending the correct colour from on the stencil on to the page. I then went round the edge of the page using the Sprinkle Suite stencil with candied apple distress oxide. I then used the Random Script with black soot distress oxide to add some text to the page.
Next, I coloured the Snip Art Card Suits Decors with red and black sharpies.
I then stamped and cut out the large heart, from Tracy Evans Quirky Burds stamp set, using seedless preserve and villainous potion distress oxide ink. I then cut them out.
I chose three clocks and two sentiments from the AALL & Create ephemera packs.
Next, I used distress collage medium to glue the Mad Hatter image from the Cheshire Collage Paper from Natalie May Scrapbooking and cut it out.
Finally, I assembled all the pieces on the page. To finish the page I added some of the small double heart stamp, from the Quirky Birds stamp set using the same inks as used for the bigger single heart.

Clocks and Ledgers

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing an art journal page created using the brand new release from Bee Crafty.
To begin, cut the white edges from the A5 greyscale catalyst card, from set 4, and glue to the page in the black art journal.
Next blend mermaid lagoon and uncharted mariner distress oxide in the top left and bottom right corners. Then blend uncharted mariner through the off set dots inkable. With the ink left on the inkable, spritz it lightly with water then press, ink side down, onto the page in several places.
Using black soot distress oxide and a blending brush add leaves using d'inkable from sets 6 and 14.
On some of the A5 fullcolour catalyst cards 4 stamp the clocks and assorted other ephemera stamps (for a full list of stamp sets used see below) using versafine clair nocturne. Cut all the images out.
Stamp, using versafine clair nocturne, the border, from the Wasted Time stamp set, 6 times on the page.
Use foam tape to stick the two large clocks to the page, then add all the other ephemera to the page using glue.
Cut out the sentiment from the Transparency Prints and colour the back with a white posca pen. Then glue to the page.
Products used:
White Posca pen
Versafine Clair nocturne

Don't be afraid

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this tag using Natalie May Scrapbooking Collage Papers with  Dina Wakley Gloss Drops and stamps.
To begin, add two strips of scrim tape to a large cream tag.
Add several drops of Gnarlyand Radical gloss drops to the tag and spritz with water. Tilt the tag to encourage the gloss drops to run and mix. Leave to dry.
Add two strips of dotty tissue paper to the tag with distress matte collage medium. Then spritz with spiced marmalade distress spritz. Leave to dry.
Add the grid stamp from Bee Crafty's Journal Art Elements 3 using versafine clair nocturne using first and second generation stamping.
Using a 0.7mm black posca pen and a ruler draw some straight lines onto the tag.
Edge the tag with black soot distress oxide ink, bringing some areas in to the tag.
Add black splatz using the posca pen.
Using versafine clair nocturne stamp the numbers from Bee Crafty's Journal Art Elements 3 several times. Then glue the tag to black card and trim to size.

Use distress collage medium to add the Natalie May Scrapbooking image from the She is a Goddess Collage Paper.
Add a sentiment from Claritystamps Word Sticker Collection by Leonie Pujol.

Finally punch out the hole and add some fibres.

Frame by Frame

Hi everyone today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this art journal page using products available from Dolly Dimples, Shady Designs and Snip Art.
I chose to use a page which I had used to clean the Flower Bass stencil the last time I used it with Ecoline Liquid Watercolours. I had also used the page to clean the same stencil when it had been used with candied apple distress oxide.

I stamped the main image, four of the tulip buds and a selection of leaves, from the Frame by Frame stamp set, using Versafine Clair nocturne ink, onto a seperate piece of card. I coloured the flowers and leaves using distress oxide ink pads, then cut everything out.

I, carefully, removed the smaller film strip, the large number 1 and smaller 2 and 3 film cells from the Snip Art sheets. I coloured these using a black posca pen.
I used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp the Gridwork stamp slughtly to the left of the page, matching it to give a continuous line down the page.
Then I used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp some of the numbers stamp from the Layering Circle stamp set.
I used pva glue to stick all the pieces to the page.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the Layering Circle stamp set down the right hand side of the page.
Products used:
Shady Designs by Louise Sims
Dolly Dimples
Snip Art
Picture Perfect Small Film Reel

Black Pisca Pen
Versafine Clair nocturne ink pad
Distress Oxide ink pads - Shabby Shutters,  Wild Honey,  Spiced Marmalade,  Candied Apple  and Twisted Citron
Ecoline Liquid Watercolour - yellow and orange

Collage paper page

Hi everyone today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this simple art journal page using collage papers and distress crayons.
I began by coating the page with vintage distress collage medium and add the Dina Wakley collage background sheet. Trim off the excess. Add a strip of  the Script collage paper using the same vintage collage medium.
Next I added distress crayon directly onto the page and used a damp paintbrush to spread it across the areas I wanted it. I only did this to the top right and a narrow strip down the right hand edge of the page.
Next, I used a damp paintbrush to go around the image and gently tore it out. I used matte distress collage medium to adhere the girl to the page.
Finally I added a sentiment from Claritystamp Word Sticker Collection by Leonie Pujol. I used a micron fineliner to draw a border around the words.
Products used:
Dina Wakley Media Collage Papers  - Hearts
Distress Crayons - carved pumpkin, crooked broomstick
Distress Collage Medium - matte, vintage

Floral Mandala

Hi everyone today I'm sharing an art journal page created using a mixture of different companies products.
To begin I used a stencil brush to dab dylusions paints through the Bee Crafty Inkable Mandala 5.

With the left over paint, I added a little water and used a paint brush to add splatz of each colour.
Whilst the paint was drying, I stamped the flowers from Shady Designs Oh! So Circular and the leaves from Shady Designs Blooming Circles stamp sets. I coloured them with Distress Watercolour Pencils and cut them out. I cut one flower in half.
Once the paint was fully dry, I stamped the word stamp, from the Oh! So Circular stamp set, using Hero Arts Unicorn ink.
I then added some white splatz using a white posca pen.
Next I glued the flowers and leaves to the page.
Finally I added a sentiment from Claritystamps Word Stickers Collection by Barbara Gray.

Products used:
Bee Crafty
Dylusions Paint - tropical sangria, lemon zest, mango punch

Shady Designs

Claritystamps

Distress Watercolour Pencils - peeled paint, salty ocean, mustard seed
Versafine Clair Nocturne
Hero Arts Unicorn ink pad

Captain Destiny

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this art journal page using snip art products, with JMC's Swashbuckling Sweethearts Collection and Shady Design's Round the Block Collection.

The background I already had made. I had cleaned the ink off a stencil from my stash and added distress spritz in three shades of green.
I added some brown distress ink to the Snip Art Pirate Corner using ink already on my blending tool. I then glued this to the background.
I used Versafine Clair nocturne ink to add some of the cross stamp from the Lady Hook stamp set.
On seperate card I  stamped the anchor, Captain Destiny from the Julia Mcneil stamp sets and the flowers and leaves from the Shady Design's stamps. I coloured them and cut them out.

I used a mix of foam pads and pva glue to adhere everything to the page. I also added a few extra pieces from the snip art sheet.
Finally I added the sentiment from the Sailor's Delight stamp set.
