Rodrigo Assi Stamps

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing an art journal page created using Art Inspirations new Rodrigo Assi stamps.
To begin I created a blended background using the antique linen, lost shadow, black soot and hickory smoke distress oxides. Then I blended black soot distress oxide through the explode stencil.
On separate card, I stamped the Ghost from the Boo! stamp set and the cat from the Magic is Withon Us stamp set using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I then cut them out.

Next, use the ghost as a template to line up the lines and bats stamp, so that it is mostly above the ghost head then stamp using versafine clair nocturne.
Next, I stamped the two spiders web stamps, using the ghost to help me line them up and get them in the correct position.

I stamped the spider under the right-hand side web and used a black pen to draw a line from the web to the spider to make it look like it was hanging.
Next, I glued the ghost and the cat to the page using PVA glue.
I used a pumice stone to distress crayon to ground the cat and as a ghost floats it did not need grounding.
I then added the small hanging spider, from the Magic is Within Us stamp set, and extra bats, from the Boo! stamp set, to the page to add to the background.

Next I added the boo! and the I don't fear sentiments to the bottom right of the ghost.

Finally I added to the shadowing to the ghost using the pumice stone distress crayon and a wet paintbrush.

Curious Wonders

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing an art journal page created using Julia McNeill Crafts Curious Wonders Collection.
To begin, cut the background paper to 18cm by 13cm and glue it to a page in a black paged journal.
Add areas of the sprinkle suite stencil using milled lavender distress ink.
Next, cut out the A6 topper with the tea pot. Run a black pen around the edges, then glue to the background.
Then cut out the character from the smaller version of this topper.
From one of the papers cut out 6 of the flowers and choose one of the sentiments and cut out.
Glue the character to the bottom left of the tea pot topper.
Add the flowers. Create a group of three in the top left corner. Add two more to the one on the right edge of the topper and place the corner one over the feet of the character so it sits in the bottom left corner.
Add the sentiment.
As I felt the sentiment didn't stand out enough I used a black sharpie to add a line around the edge of each part.

Capture the Moment

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing an art journal page created using Mama Makes Capture the Memories and Funky Borders stamp set and a couple of Natalie's Textures stencils.
To begin, spritz a page with water and then use a paintbrush to dab areas of Aurora Pink and Aurora Purple Kuretake Gansai Tambi Granulating Watercolour paint onto the wet areas. Leave to dry naturally so that the granulation process can happen.

Next blend white gesso through the Large Circles stencil.

Then add Seedless Preserve distress oxide directly to the Intertwined Circles stencil, then spritz the ink with water and press down several times onto the background.
Next stamp the circles border, from the Funky Borders stamp set, using Versafine Clair nocturne.

Then, using seedless preserve distress oxide add areas of the typed text stamp.
On a separate piece of card stamp the sitting lady from the Capture the Memories stamp set and one of the sentiments using Versafine Clair nocturne. Colour the image with distress watercolour pencils, then cut out.
Next edge the sentiments with black pen, then glue them and the image to the page.

White Gesso

Creating a card using stencils

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this card using mainly stencils.
To begin I cut a piece of Dolly Dimples super smooth warm cream card into a five and a half square. I then blended picked raspberry distress oxide through the Diamond Maze stencil.

Next I blended seedless preserve distress oxide through the Cracked stencil across the centre of the card to break up the larger pink area.

Using off cuts of cream card, I blended kitsch flamingo distress oxide through the centre of the Entwined Flowers stencil. I then blended seedless preserve distress oxide around the outer part of the flower. I created six flowers.
I then cut out three of the flowers completely leaving a small cream border. I cut the centre star shape out from the other three flowers.
Edge the background piece with seedless preserve distress oxide. Then use the Hanging Garden stencil to add five leafy branches. To work out where to put them I placed the flowers on the card and placed the stencil over them. I then removed the flowers before adding the rustic wilderness distress oxide through it. I repeated this for each branch.
Next I glued this background to a six inch cream card blank.
I shaped the flowers using a foam pad and ball tool.
Then I used a small foam pad to stick the centre part of the flower to the full size ones. I off set it to add a bigger centre to the flower.

I then glued these to the card using pva glue.
Finally I added one of the ticket sentiments and a small pearl to the centre of each flower.

Magic Tree Towertown

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing an art journal page created using Art Inspirations Brejanzart Magic Tree Towertown stamp set, with other products from my stash.

To begin I created a background base colour using squeezed lemonade and salvaged patina distress oxide ink pads.

I added some letters to the background by stamping Studiolight's Basic Stamp set SL274 using salvaged patina oxide ink.
Next I used Bee Crafty's crosses dinkable from set 3 to add more detail. I used peacock feathers distress oxide ink for this.
Next I used Bee Crafty's line dinkable from set 12 with mustard seed distress oxide.
Then I used Bee Crafty's circles dinkable from set 3 with salvaged patina distress oxide to add more layers to the background.
As I wanted to add some depth to the page I used Bee Crafty's the splatter dinkable from set 3 and used grit texture paste through it. I left this to dry.

Next I stamped the main image from Art Inspirations Brejanzart Magic Tree Towertown stamp set directly onto the page.
I felt the background need some more, so I used the broken circles and lines stamps from Studiolight's Grunge SL451 set and stamped them with versafine clair nocturne.
When I started to create this page, my idea was to leave the main image uncoloured, but on reflection I decided to colour it with my polychromos pencils.
Finally I added a sentiment from Claritystamps Words Stickers Collection designed by Leonie Pujol.
