Collage paper page

Hi everyone today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this simple art journal page using collage papers and distress crayons.
I began by coating the page with vintage distress collage medium and add the Dina Wakley collage background sheet. Trim off the excess. Add a strip of  the Script collage paper using the same vintage collage medium.
Next I added distress crayon directly onto the page and used a damp paintbrush to spread it across the areas I wanted it. I only did this to the top right and a narrow strip down the right hand edge of the page.
Next, I used a damp paintbrush to go around the image and gently tore it out. I used matte distress collage medium to adhere the girl to the page.
Finally I added a sentiment from Claritystamp Word Sticker Collection by Leonie Pujol. I used a micron fineliner to draw a border around the words.
Products used:
Dina Wakley Media Collage Papers  - Hearts
Distress Crayons - carved pumpkin, crooked broomstick
Distress Collage Medium - matte, vintage

Floral Mandala

Hi everyone today I'm sharing an art journal page created using a mixture of different companies products.
To begin I used a stencil brush to dab dylusions paints through the Bee Crafty Inkable Mandala 5.

With the left over paint, I added a little water and used a paint brush to add splatz of each colour.
Whilst the paint was drying, I stamped the flowers from Shady Designs Oh! So Circular and the leaves from Shady Designs Blooming Circles stamp sets. I coloured them with Distress Watercolour Pencils and cut them out. I cut one flower in half.
Once the paint was fully dry, I stamped the word stamp, from the Oh! So Circular stamp set, using Hero Arts Unicorn ink.
I then added some white splatz using a white posca pen.
Next I glued the flowers and leaves to the page.
Finally I added a sentiment from Claritystamps Word Stickers Collection by Barbara Gray.

Products used:
Bee Crafty
Dylusions Paint - tropical sangria, lemon zest, mango punch

Shady Designs

Claritystamps

Distress Watercolour Pencils - peeled paint, salty ocean, mustard seed

Captain Destiny

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this art journal page using snip art products, with JMC's Swashbuckling Sweethearts Collection and Shady Design's Round the Block Collection.

The background I already had made. I had cleaned the ink off a stencil from my stash and added distress spritz in three shades of green.
I added some brown distress ink to the Snip Art Pirate Corner using ink already on my blending tool. I then glued this to the background.
I used Versafine Clair nocturne ink to add some of the cross stamp from the Lady Hook stamp set.
On seperate card I  stamped the anchor, Captain Destiny from the Julia Mcneil stamp sets and the flowers and leaves from the Shady Design's stamps. I coloured them and cut them out.

I used a mix of foam pads and pva glue to adhere everything to the page. I also added a few extra pieces from the snip art sheet.
Finally I added the sentiment from the Sailor's Delight stamp set.

Magpies

Hi everyone today I'm sharing a card made using the new Timestamp Creations stamps from Janice Phillips, in particular the Magpies stamp set.
To begin I created a background by smooshing each of the distress oxides, mustard seed, spiced marmalade and candied apple, individually onto my glass mat and spritzed lightly with water. I then dipped the piece of card into the ink and allowed each layer to dry before adding the next.
Next I left the alphabet stamps on the backing acetate and placed them stamp side up on a flat surface. I inked them with candied apple distress oxide and randomly placed part of the card over them.

Then I stamped the larger telephone pole stamp slightly down from the centre of the card.

As I wanted the pole to touch the bottom of the card, I turned the stamp round, ined it up with the stamped image and just inked the pole. I then stamped this.

Next I used a black micron pen to extend the wires out to the edge of the piece of card.

Then I stamped the individual magpie several times so that it was sitting on the wires.

I added the verse between the lines. Then used 2nd and 3rdgeneration stamping to add it around the image.
Next I blended candied apple distress oxide around the edges of the piece.

I then added white posca pen to the bellies of the magpies.
Finally I glued it to a 5 x 7 card blank.

After I had finished this one I decided to repeat it, but using different colours.
For the first one I used spun sugar, seedless preserve andpicked raspberry distress oxide.

For the final one I used faded jeans, tumbled glass and salty ocean distress oxide. I also added some squeezed lemonade distress spritz to this one.
