Scribbly Bear Tag.

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a tag created using stamps and stencils from Dina Wakley Media.
I began by creating a background using fuchsia and watery acrylic paints.
Next I sponged sapphire acrylic paint through a part of the feel your magic stencil.
Then, I stamped the large branch using Versafine Clair Monarch ink.  I mixed fuchsia and sapphire paint to create a purple and added some water to dilute it. I used this to paint the leaves.
Then I added some of the triple squares stamp using morning mist Versafine Clair ink.

On separate card,  I stamped the tall bear using Versafine Clair nocturne ink.  I painted him with watered down sapphire paint, then added splats of sapphire and the purple I created for the leaves.
I glued the tag to a piece of black card and trimmed it to give a small border.
I added the bear using foam pads.

Finally I added some ribbon and lace, using a staple to keep it in place.

Mixed media art journal page.

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing an art journal page created using products from Dina Wakley Media,  that are available from Art Inspirations. I have also used a Dylusions Dyalog stencil and a Bee Crafty transparency print.

To begin I used a flat paintbrush to apply sunshine, minty and raspberry Dina Wakley Media acrylic paint to the page.
Next, I used matte medium to adhere a strip of Text collage paper to the painted area of the page.
Then, I used a stencil brush to apply minty acrylic paint through the leaves on the Dylusions Dyalog Border it stencil. I then applied sunshine acrylic paint through part of the Dina Wakley Media ladders stencil.
After that, I added a piece of the Backgrounds collage paper, by Dina Wakley Media, using matte medium.
Next, I painted a piece of white card with raspberry acrylic paint. When it was dry,  I used matte medium to glue one of the Moths, from the Flying Things collage paper pack, to it. I, then, cut it out and glued it to the page, using a foam pad to raise it from the page.

Finally, I added one of Bee Crafty's transparency prints sentiment using matte medium.

Journal Dolls and Patterns from Elena Zinski

Hi everyone,  I recently purchased one of Elena Zinski Art's books called Journal Dolls and Patterns. It is a wonderful source of images and backgrounds for use in your art journal. This is the first of many creations.
To begin, I chose and cut out the background piece.  I then glued it to a page in my black Dylusions journal.
Next, I added a faux stitched border using a 3M black Posca pen.

Then, I stamped the floral heart stamp from the Art Inspirations with Elena Zinski Art You Are Wonderful stamp set using picked raspberry distress oxide ink.
After that, I stamped the spiral square, from the same stamp set, using Versafine Clair nocturne ink.
Next, I used a 1MR black Posca pen to add heart and circle doodles to the page.
Then, I chose and cut out one of the paper dolls, a heart and a flower.
I, then, glued these images to the page. Using the bottom spiral squares to ground the girl.
Finally,  I added a sentiment from the Clarity stamps Words Sticker Collection by Leonie Pujol.

Tim Holtz collage

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this art journal page using a selection of Tim Holtz stamps.

To begin I used matte medium to adhere scrap pieces of rice paper to the page of my 4" Pink Pig journal.

Then, I used my finger to blend a very thin layer of white gesso over the page.
Then, I used my finger to blend a light layer of worn lipstick and mowed lawn distress crayon over the background.
Next, I blended Charming Pink Versafine Clair ink through the circles part of the stencil from Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection set 39.
Then, I stamped the number from the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection set 41 using Versafine Clair Nocturne.
I, then, stamped the crosses from set 41 using Versafine Clair Nocturne.
Next, I blended black soot distress oxide around the edges of the page.
On separate card, I stamped my selected ephemera from sets 39 and 41. I used Versafine Clair Nocturne,  Green Oasis and Charming Pink. When the ink was dry, I cut the ephemera out.
I glued the ephemera to the background using a mix of wet glue and foam pads to vary the depth of the items.
Finally I added a sentiment from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Small Talk pad.
